Long Alley Skittles
The Tom Bishop Memorial Skittles League (Long Alley)
Belper and District Skittles League (Long Alley). May 2010 John Bull wrote to inform me about the Belper league in Derbyshire. There are roughly 30 teams in the league, 3 divisions of 10. There are two differences compared with Nottinghamshire's rules which are that you have to hit the front pin first and it doesn't have to bounce before hitting although it still has to clear the tin. [Update 2017 website www.skittlesteam.co.uk has disappeared. Does the league still exist?]
The Clay Cross & District Skittle League. Long Alley Skittles comprising 24 teams (as at June 2012).

Dover Skittles League , undoubtedly the most Easterly skittles league in the country.
The 'Jubilee cup' is played between 5 local leagues. Yeovil Sports, Yeovil men's, Yeovil ladies, Sherborne men's and Sherborne ladies. It was started in 1977 and is 5 a side played over 5 games on two different alleys during the season. It was 6 a side when it started but reduced to 5 as it took all night - John Penny Nov 2018

Old English Skittles
London Skittles at the Hampstead Lawn Billiards and Skittles Club - An excellent site on the rare game of Old English Skittles. The last remaining alley kept in shape by an indomitable crew of stalwarts playing every Tuesday and some Saturdays at The Freemasons Arms, Downshire Hill, Hampstead.
The following pubs used to regularly play Old English Skittles.
Most regrettably, they have all apparently removed their alleys, recently,
furthering the decline of the game:
The Beacon, Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Long Alley from the Coopers Arms, Nottingham.
Sutton & District Long Alley Skittles league. (plays summer and
winter. submitted James Neal, June 02)
